Anybody know the story behind this weird ant farm sign?

Saw this sign posted on a tree outside of Talkeetna, Alaska:

Wtf?

Picture of a paper sign someone put up that reads ANT FARM YOUR TAX DOLLAR AT WORK'.

It was pointing to an ant farm on the ground…

The hard working makers of the ant farm had no idea they were the subject of such scornful signage.

Any ideas as to what the story behind this is? And why only one dollar lol?
