Thanks for looking into this “character”. I watched the Sir Patrick Hoarders episode and thought this guy was merely an eccentric. I, like most folks excused his fantastical tales, lies, creepiness and his outward weirdness because we believed he was trying to escape a very troubled childhood. You are my new Hero. I hope the smokinggun.com gives you the credit that you so rightly deserve.

Thanks for the comment :). I think over the years Sir Patrick/Roger Sisson perfected the art of cloaking himself as an eccentric as a way to of calming people’s suspicions.
You can see in some of the early mug shots the way he looks just screams creeper. If you seen a creepy looking guy talking about the dolls in his bedroom you’d probably get away from him fast right?
But over the years I think he perfected the art of coming off as an eccentric so that people would naturally make excuses for his more alarming behaviors. Old guy with a bedroom full of dolls that he relates to some little girl? Oh that’s Sir Patrick, he’s just eccentric you see.
I am here because of the Smoking Gun article as well. First of all, I am glad you commented there with this site and your own original work. While TSG is not exactly the New York Times, I had thought they still had some journalistic ethics. This co-opting of your work brings that seriously into question. I also hope they own up to it. But I am also glad that this story is gaining the additional audience. SOMEthing has to put a stop to this predator’s activities. If law enforcement can’t, maybe this spotlight can.
To Sisson’s family: We can’t be responsible for what our relatives are and/or do. I don’t think ill of you at all because of what that man has done.
To Sisson: You are obviously the victim of some severe mental illness, and I have compassion for you as far as that goes. But that is where your claim on victimhood ends. Once you begin inflicting your disturbances on others, you become a perpetrator. I hope you get help some day.
To Steve: Get a life. Your own, not the sick man’s you’re peddling.
To Ed(wina): Please, never ever stop writing :)
To Anita: You are showing just what a “mere” blogger can do, and you are doing it with style, grace, and journalistic ethics I wish The Smoking Gun shared.
Shannon, I’m not trying to speak for Anita, but thanks for the kind words. A couple of us have been commenting on various articles directing them here, and it should also be noted that The Smoking Gun has printed a follow-up story today where they do make mention of Anita and post a link. They have promised to do so for any future stories as well – perhaps another tomorrow. Thanks to the wonderful individual who sent them a letter suggesting they do the right thing. You know who you are.

There’s no way of telling exactly what is wrong with Roger Sisson. I agree with you that he has a mental illness, but not the sort I myself can find much sympathy for. He is repugnant. I think he is, what was once termed criminally insane, and should be sectioned in a psychiatric secure unit. Unfortunately the laws in this country are such that he’s free to wander around and make himself a menace. 72 hours in the hospital, and now he’s out? Cured? Of course they probably asked him “Do you feel like harming yourself or anyone else?”, to which he replied “Nope,” and I’ll guess that was sadly that.

Thank you Shannon for such a nice comment :). I see that Krudler’s already addressed some of the other stuff in your comment so I’ll just say that I agree about the spotlight.
One of his former victims mentioned that when he contacted her in the early 2000′s she searched and searched the internet trying to find out about him. But the only thing that showed up was his personal website (the one that he used to lure women).
At least now with this spotlight that’s on him, when women/girls search for his name they’ll see the info from all the different sources and know to stay far away from him.

Well this is very interesting. I HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN IN HIS HOUSE. He bought a bed from my mother’s garage sale and I had to deliver it. Oh my G!!! That was about 2.5 years ago. When I got there, I thought to myself, how the hell am i going to get a mattress and boxspring in the back room ( with the dolls, gag!!) through all of this insanity. I was the most bizarre experience ever!! Talk about strange!! Then I saw Hoarders…oh my G agaion!! There is that crazy man.
Now all this Offender stuff…unbelieveable.

Thanks for the comment. Yeah that dolls thing is creepy as hell, I bet you got out of there as soon as possible.
Seeing this all come together in one spot is pure magic! Big, huge props go out to Anita and her team of crack researchers for making this the one stop shop for all of your Sir Patrick/Sisson ET AL needs. Sir Patrick had a huge internet presence trolling for the innocent and now he has a huge presence where he is exposed for what he really is.

I think the most important thing we are doing right now is getting the word out to people that he is still active as a predator. He is still actively conning people out of money and luring new brides (women and girls) for his Camelot.

Did you ever think for a moment when you started this how big it was going to get. It amazes me. I love reading it. You asked for a tipster to resend thier email did you ever get it? Was it in regards to SP & SV? I get on every other day to see whats new in the SP saga.

Thanks for your comment. The tipster wrote me in regards to SV but they never re-sent their email so I guess we’ll never know lol. No doubt it was something wacky/creepy/crazy like everything else involved with those two.
When I wrote the original blog about SP I was just talking about how interesting that particular episode of Hoarders was. Boy was I surprised when Steve Vallillo wrote some wacky sounding stuff in the comments section of that post…actually back then I suspected it was Sir Patrick himself.
It’s so weird to think that those two actually invited me to look into SP’s history. I guess they didn’t understand how much can be found out via internet or how many people would get involved eventually. I think Nelson from the Simpsons would have something to say about that ;).

this site rocks, thank you for this sir patrick expose. glad you could shine some light on this guy, the roaches in his house are pretty symbolic of him, trying to hide from the light of truth. one good thing about the internet, we can expose scum like this out to everyone.

Here’s an interesting story from my local news about a man charged with illegally wearing military badges when he never served in the military? I’m not sure if you’ve looked into this (you probably have) but has anyone verified whether SP actually served in the military? Or is it one of the many lies he’s spun?

Thanks for the link :). I’ve never seen documents proving that he was in the military but he was reportedly in the Army for at least a short period of time. The POW fakers site is trying to get his military records if there are any. Somehow I don’t think his stories of being in a POW camp with John McCain and being a colonel-doctor-chaplain-tunnel rat quite ring true lol.
