I was sitting in my office typing away at the computer when I noticed some unusual noises coming from the kitchen. It sounded like some sort of frenzied scratching mixed in with crinkling every so often.
I ignored it in hopes that it was just my cat Anne playing with some cat toy or food wrapper that she’d poached from the counter. But the noise got worse and worse until I finally had to go and check…

Anne had knocked over the ice tea pitcher and an entire box of Sweet’N Low! There was Sweet’N Low all over the place and she was swimming in it like it was a vast ocean of low calorie sugar substitute.
As she saw me coming towards the kitchen she went crazy and started rolling around in the Sweet’N Low trying to mop it up with her fur.
Finally she resorted to snorting it like it was sweet sweet low calorie cocaine!
When I moved in to intervene (wondering the whole time if there was a trip to the vet in the future and how I was going to explain why my cat was doped up on Sweet’N Low) she ran over to the box and stole the little pink spoon out of it and ran off!!

Haha! This blog makes me so happy. I still remember when you texted me that last picture, how I laughed and laughed! Then I quickly googled “cat ate sweet n low” only to find out that we are apparently the only people who have a cat with a sweet n low addiction lol.
I can only imagine the look of glee on Annes face when the box she knocked over spilled sweet goodness like a waterfall, no wonder she went crazy!

We had a cat when I was a teenager who ended up with the nickname of Chucky the Drug-Sniffing Cat. Lets just say that my parents were pleased about her skills and my brothers and I were not.

Oh that is the best! My dogs, I will trade with you! I had a Roast beef cooling on the counter awhile back, I left the room I hear my 2 Great Danes creeping, at the time I thought nothing of it. After all they are always doing one thing or another! But all of a sudden it got real quite,now that is unusual; it is never quite in my house. So I went to look….they had the roast beef off the counter on the floor and those two happened to be sharing dinner, my roast beef!!!! Sadly no pictures.

Cats never cease to amaze me with the nutty things they do, and I’ve had a lot of cats!

Thanks :). Yeah I don’t know what it is about the Sweet’N Low but it made her go bonkers. I’m just glad that she didn’t have any ill effects from so much artificial sweetener consumption lol.
