    My name's Anita Wirawan and I love stories :).

    I read/watch a lot of stories and like to share the most interesting and unusual ones here to see what everyone else thinks about them.

    Why
    I had originally started this blog as a way to get things together after my brother Jody died back in 2008, but it's turned into a lot more than that.

Disney’s Snow White Premiers (This Day In History)

On this day in 1937 the movie Snow White by Walt Disney premiered. It was the first feature length color and sound cartoon ever made.

The road to getting the movie finished was a really bumpy one for Disney since not many people believed in his vision. Hollywood insiders called the movie ‘Disney’s Folly’ and he ended up having to mortgage his house to help keep the production going.

Even many members of his own family tried to talk him out of it, including his wife. She said to him ‘No one is ever going to pay a dime to see a dwarf picture‘.
