This picture was taken at the instant a boy hears any kind of sound for the first time in his life.
I wonder in the days leading up to when this picture was taken what the boy thought ‘sound’ would be like. Did anyone try and explain it to him? Whatever he was expecting though the actual experience seems to have been a total surprise :).
