on RIP Maurice Sendak :(I’m totally obsessed with reading stuff by or about Carl Sagan these days. It all started when I decided to watch the Cosmos series again and found it to be even more awesome than I remembered.
Sagan’s storytelling style is really strong and I think that’s because he comes from a place of genuine interest in connecting with people. And his constant awe at the wonders of the universe don’t hurt either…

Carl Sagan is one of the best storytellers I’ve ever seen. He was a scientist that cared a lot about communicating the stories of science and the universe to the public, even though many of his colleagues continually put him down for this.
Here’s a sample of his work that elegantly tells the story of how humans evolved from the beginning of the universe. He explains how every human is a way for the cosmos to know itself:
