    Who
My name's Anita Wirawan and I love stories :).

I read/watch a lot of stories and like to share the most interesting and unusual ones here to see what everyone else thinks about them.

    Why
I had originally started this blog as a way to get things together after my brother Jody died back in 2008, but it's turned into a lot more than that.

I hope you'll find the stories that you need here.

    What Next
Feel free to look around the blog and add your own thoughts or stories, I'd love to hear 'em.

What Do Wizards Read?

Jennifer and I have been on a movie watching kick lately, one movie a night for the past week. We’ve run through the whole Lord of the Rings trilogy and now have moved on to Harry Potter which despite being a series we’ve watched tons of times before still offers up new discoveries every once in a while.

There was something interesting that we caught in the third Harry Potter movie (my favorite one btw) The Prisoner of Azkaban during the scene in the Leaky Cauldron in the beginning.

A wizard was sitting at a table stirring his drink with magic and intently reading…A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking. Wtf? Jennifer had to rewind the movie so that we could pause it and see for sure but yeah that’s what it was:

I thought it was pretty funny but couldn’t figure out why the people who made the movie had picked that particular book. The reason came to me just now…it’s a nod to the time travel elements at the end of the movie. Makes me wonder what other little jokes I’ve been missing in the series, I could just look it up online but it’s more fun to try and catch them as I’m watching :).

      Honey,

That’s it, now we gotta watch them all again :D. It’s been really hard to follow up the LOTR/Harry Potter marathon that week anyway, everything else just seems so flat by comparison.
