A picture of Anita Wirawan in Anchorage, Alaska.

My name is Anita Wirawan and I love stories :).

WHY STORIES? Not only are stories fun to read but if you're having troubles in your life good stories can help you a lot.

WHAT IS ANITA'S NOTEBOOK? I started this blog in 2008 after my brother Jody died and over the years this blog has become my notebook for stories.

My mission is to find the best stories to share with you here.

WHAT KIND OF STORIES? Some of the stories are funny, some are spooky, and some might just change your life. So go ahead... look around and read some stories!

*The Phone Booth Book Exchange*

Last month I wrote about the surprise of seeing a phone booth, a sight that’s becoming more and more rare as time goes on.

The phone booth I seen was completely unused and uncared for, but there are some people out there who are creating new uses for abandoned phone booths.

Here’s a video of what one person in the U.K. did to repurpose one that was just wasting away in his neighborhood:

I wonder how well this will work out in the long term. Will vandals ruin it or will the exchange become an underground staple for the locals?

Either way major kudos to James Econs for taking the time to do something positive with an abandoned phone booth.
