God how do people do this:
An interesting story about the Rubik’s Cube is that it wasn’t originally made to be a puzzle but instead as a solution to a design problem that was bothering Erno Rubik.
It wasn’t until he leisurely mixed up the colors and tried to put them back to the original configuration (and failed miserably) that he realized it was a puzzle in it’s own right as well as a solution to the design puzzle. This is how he described it:
It was wonderful, to see how, after only a few turns, the colors became mixed, apparently in random fashion.
It was tremendously satisfying to watch this color parade. Like after a nice walk when you have seen many lovely sights you decide to go home, after a while I decided it was time to go home, let us put the cubes back in order.
And it was at that moment that I came face to face with the Big Challenge: What is the way home?
Yes what is the way home exactly? Hell if I know but I bet for most people it eventually involves some sort of violence lol.
