    Who
My name's Anita Wirawan and I love stories :).

I read/watch a lot of stories and like to share the most interesting and unusual ones here to see what everyone else thinks about them.

    Why
I had originally started this blog as a way to get things together after my brother Jody died back in 2008, but it's turned into a lot more than that.

I hope you'll find the stories that you need here.

    What Next
Feel free to look around the blog and add your own thoughts or stories, I'd love to hear 'em.

Luggage Tag For Wanderers

(via Pinterest)

This is what inspired yesterday’s post about that JRR Tolkien quote and the story behind it. If it was made out of a little bit more durable material it would make for a pretty awesome luggage tag wouldn’t it?

UPDATE: Jennifer got me one :) check it out in this post: http://anitasnotebook.com/2011/08/got-the-luggage-tag-for-wanderers.html

I lost this post once and what a great time to find it again! I´ll tell you why:
Because I wanted to say that sometimes wandering is the only way to get back on rails! :)

Hi Nairim, I very much agree with you on this one. I think it’s especially important when taking on challenging things like creative work or even on a personal level with “what’s next in life?” type of questions.

I heard a talk by Jon Kabat-Zinn once where he was explaining that many great questions in science were solved when the scientist (after much time and effort spent struggling with the problem and getting nowhere) decided to just let go of the problem.

They decided to relax and just let their mind wander, their feet wander and then the brilliant insight that answered the question came to them. Funny how life can be like that… if you wander you can find your way to where you want to be :).
