    Who
My name's Anita Wirawan and I love stories :).

I read/watch a lot of stories and like to share the most interesting and unusual ones here to see what everyone else thinks about them.

    Why
I had originally started this blog as a way to get things together after my brother Jody died back in 2008, but it's turned into a lot more than that.

I hope you'll find the stories that you need here.

    What Next
Feel free to look around the blog and add your own thoughts or stories, I'd love to hear 'em.

The Driveway Mannequins (Hint Memoir)

As the car turned I saw why the woman had been eyeing us nervously. Dangling from each branch of the tree were pockmarked mannequin legs.

What is a hint memoir?

More hint memoirs.

Feel free to post your own hint memoirs in the comments too if you want I’d love to read em :).

As the car drew closer and it’s engine grew louder, the dozens of crows perched in the tree greedily gulped the last flesh colored bits and flapped off into the dark coastal fog.

Hey Terry that’s a really good one, perfectly written! This would make a great start to some scary novel.

I’ve been meaning to look into why the mannequin legs were hanging from that tree. I’m theorizing that it was for some kind of bird related thing (woodpeckers lol?) …well I’m hoping so anyway.

        Hi Anita,
I was thinking you channel Steven King really well….maybe better than he does.
I think whatever book – you should write – will be an instant hit.

btw, I haven’t read anything about a new gold rush up there, but I bet there is one going on.
I bet you could write a “King -ish” story/book on the subject. It is very topical.

Aw thanks Terry I appreciate the faith in my writing abilities! I’ll probably try at writing a book someday but for now have to keep working at learning how to blog every day …a lot harder than it looks sometimes but I’m getting there lol.

As we edged closer to harrowing woodlands, we heard an ear piercing screech and as we turned to face each other, the cloud began an instant descent…
