Hi Tessa,

Thanks for commenting and for all the kind words about the blog. I agree that he needs to be supervised...highly supervised lol. He also needs to be kept far away from the internet, since that's how he gets many of his victims these days.

Dear Anita,

I stumbled upon your blog while looking up info about good ole "Sir Patrick!" About 15 years ago, I spent a summer working the day shift in a group home for mentally ill patients. We would basically take them on group trips (park, zoo, baseball games, etc) and on errands, like the grocery store, as a group. We were trying our best to help them function in society in a very supervised setting. I found the Hoarders episode with Sir Patrick very interesting because he reminded me so much of a man with schizophrenia that was at the group home. He, too, would go on about his delusional accomplishments and titles. He was also obsessed with young girls, and wrote crazy letters to two young women who were in prison for killing thier parents. These letters were never sent, as they were confiscated by the staff. I wonder if Sir Patrick has ever been formally diagnosed with schizophrenia? After reading all of the info that you were able to dig up on him, I'm even more skeeved out by him! He needs to be in a supervised setting. I'll bet A&E regrets not checking out his background more before featuring him on their show.
I've really enjoyed reading your blog, and your tribute to your brother is very nice. Have a wonderful day.
